March 5, 2007 will be the first celebration of College Day, a new national holiday for college students. Below you will find information on:
Holiday Introduction
College Day is an opportunity for you to connect with the college student in your life in a meaningful way. It is a way to show the college student in your life that you are proud of their educational pursuits. Although this holiday will likely be celebrated differently by families across the country, the College Day Team would encourage you to consider sending a care package or present to your son or daughter.
Suggested Holiday Care Packages
One important way to celebrate the holiday is by sending your college student a care package. 10% of all profits made by the College Day Partners through these carepackages will be donated to the Jed Foundation. The possibilities for care-packages are endless. For care-package suggestions, click here.
Philanthropy
The College Day Team is dedicated to the education of people to the issues that affect college students across the nation every day. This year we will be focusing on the frequency of depression and suicide amongst college students. Suicide is the #2 killer among students. March 5th is College Day. On March 6th, we will be donating 10% of all profits made for the fiscal year to the Mental Health Association. By becoming a member and sending a care package to a college student, you are helping us to spread awareness.
Tell Friends
College Day needs your help to make the holiday as special as possible. The more people that know about the holiday, the more special it will be. Tell your friends and get the word out by clicking here.
