Scholarship to Combat Mental Illness
Depression, suicide, and mental illness are serious problems that affect thousands of college students every year. Approximately 1,100 college students commit suicide every year, and some estimates say that 1 in every 7 college students has had suicidal thoughts. The College Day Team is dedicated to combating mental illness in the college community. We will be offering a $2,000 scholarship for the person who does the most on their college campus to combat and educate people to the dangers of mental illness in the college community. To be considered for this scholarship, we require a resume and two-page, double-spaced essay describing your experience in the mental health community, and how you helped to spread mental health awareness. Submit your essay and resume by clicking HERE.
